Our stay at Oddfellows in Chester was thoroughly delightful. The hotel is beautifully styled, combining elegance with a charming sense of quirkiness that gives it real character. The service was exemplary throughout our visit. The manager, Libby, was exceptionally helpful and kind, setting the tone from the outset. Breakfast service was impeccably delivered by Mimi, whose professionalism, warmth, and wonderfully positive attitude made each morning a pleasure. Our room was a most attractive duplex, thoughtfully designed with excellent attention to detail and featuring an extremely comfortable bed. While the bathtub positioned within the bedroom and the glass-doored toilet are not personally to my taste, I appreciate that some guests may find these features appealing. We also had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Izzy, who was most engaging and lovely to chat with. It is worth noting — and rather delightful — that the hotel is run by a team of accomplished women, which truly makes a difference to the atmosphere and experience. If you are weary of impersonal chain hotels and find yourself in Chester, Oddfellows is a highly recommended independent boutique hotel. We checked out with genuinely happy hearts.

Highly recommend. Five of us took afternoon tea and it was lovely, really high quality and delicious, we had to take some home as the portions were so bountiful. Price was very reasonable. Venue to time to confirm special dietary requirements in advance. Staff were absolutely great, we didn't feel rushed and the tea was free flowing. Oddfellows is a lovely venue, the bar has a great vibe from 5pm venue offers a great outdoor space too! The food is superb here, our compliments to the chef and staff. Thanks!

Lovely stay. Had it bought as a christmas present and it was such good value for money. The breakfast was amazing, was expecting continental but was served a hot breakfast. The staff were all so friendly especially the gentleman at breakfast, he really couldn't do enough for you. Such a quirky fun place right in the centre. Would stay again!

y husband and I enjoyed the most wonderful Valentine’s afternoon tea at Oddfellows Hotel with two of our close friends, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt magical. The surroundings are elegantly unique — whimsical yet refined — creating a real “wonderland” experience that makes the whole occasion feel special. Every room has its own character, and it’s impossible not to smile as you take it all in. The afternoon tea itself was absolutely delicious. Every element, from the savoury offerings to the beautifully presented cakes and warm, freshly baked scones, was prepared to perfection. You could really taste the care and quality in every bite. What made the experience even more memorable was the warm and friendly staff. They were attentive without being intrusive, genuinely welcoming, and made us feel completely relaxed and looked after throughout. It was a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with people we care about, and we will most definitely be returning. A truly memorable experience from start to finish.

Lovely quirky little hotel in a central location. Leave the front doors and everything is on doorstep. All staff friendly and helpful. Beds comfy when I looked at mattress it was very stained though, if I could make one suggestion it would be decent size mugs in the rooms please. Other than that would recommend this place. We stayed in an attic room, quite alot of steps to it but lovely and quiet up there

Thank you to the wonderful team at Oddfellows who helped to make our wedding party so incredibly special. Rebecca and Katie were fantastic in helping to plan the event exactly how we wanted. On the day Doug was absolutely brilliant in making sure it all ran smoothly. Milosz, Alex, Millie and Joseph were wonderful serving on the bar, as well as the delicious food and looking after our guests who all had an amazing time. We had lots of lovely comments about the atmosphere, food and people. A truly fantastic place to celebrate such a special occasion!

I arranged my sister’s baby shower in one of the private tea rooms and it was a lovely afternoon. The food was plentiful, the room was gorgeous and cosy and the staff were wonderful. Daniel looked after us - he was lovely and very attentive. I’d highly recommend!
